Hart Knowe Trust

Hart Knowe Trust approached us requesting a new website based on an original site they had designed themselves.

Through an approach routed in inquisitive conversation and reflection, we worked with the Trust to create a vision that was different to what they had originally requested - one that tied together the strands of their projects in a way that was true to their own story and brought clarity to their site. This is reflected in the visual aesthetic of the site - a clean professional layout and subtle animations to create elements of movement as you move through the page.

The site was designed to be fully internally maintained using CMS and was accompanied by a site usage training programme and documentation.

St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation & Peace

St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation is a charity who's work 'sits at the intersection between climate and peace'.

This charities unique and multi-faceted work posed a particular challenge in website design. With multiple formats including training, multimedia content, music events and even a multi day festival the site was designed to be able to adapt its focus, spotlighting events and content in a dynamic fashion with elements of the building woven through the site to represent the shared home that these projects hold. One that represents resilience, reconciliation and above all hope for a kinder more peaceful world.

Innovations In Mindfulness

The Innovations in Mindfulness Awards website was created during the second year of the innovations in mindfulness awards as a place to showcase previous winners and future entrants as well as to host a blog of their ongoing innovations work and their field-book for innovators.

The site was designed to sit alongside the pre-existing website of the mindfulness initiative and echo some stylistic elements whilst creating a clean minimal all blue aesthetic. CMS collections and a custom PDF embed menu were developed that allow the sites owners to continuously update content independently. This site was developed from a bare bones concept, through a series of conversations and iterative design stages.

"I’d highly recommend working with New Day Design, both for their professionalism in the process - James has driven this project forward and been a considered, intelligent, responsive voice throughout - and for their results, because they’ve delivered exactly what we asked for, and in a slick-looking package."
